Lift table with passenger transport

The task in this project was that a pallet or a trolley including an accompanying person had to be transported from street level to the room below. Due to the limited space, no additional stairs could be built at this point, so the trained employee had to be able to ride on the lifting table.

The lifting table has a load capacity of 1000 kg and a platform size of 1775 x 1300 mm. The level difference is 900 mm.

Additional equipment from the lifting table included railings, a portal as fall protection, a monitored gate, a tear plate on the platform, a mesh skirt as underflow protection and 2 additional buttons.

With this one Hubtisch mit Personentransport haben wir nicht nur bei der Planung geholfen, sondern auch die Montage und Abnahme mit einem befugten Zivilingenieur durchgeführt. Bei der Anlieferung und der Einbringung gab es hier eine kleines Herausforderung. Die Türe vom Kunden war schmäler als der Hubtisch, daher mussten wir diesen auf einer Sonderpalette aus Metall aufgestellt anliefern. Erst im Gebäude konnten wir den Hubtisch von dieser Palette haben und mittels Kettenzügen waagrecht schwenken. Die restliche Montage war dann für unsere erfahrenen Monteure ein Kinderspiel.

Lift table with accompanying person at the lower stop

If the lift table is at the lower stop, the trained employee can open the gate. To do this, the mechanical latch must first be moved and the gate opened with muscle power.
The lifting table can only be lifted once the gate and latch are working properly again are closed.

The gap between the lifting table and the floor is 15mm. This makes it easy to load with a trolley or pallet truck.

We covered the wall at the back with a smooth sheet of metal so that there are no shearing or crushing points. Signage with operating instructions was also necessary, which we supplied.

Befindet sich der Hubtisch an der oberen Haltestelle, so muss der Bereich unter dem Hubtisch abgesichert werden. Dies ist notwendig, da man weder von der oberen Haltestelle noch von der Plattform aus unter den hydraulischen Scherenhubtisch mit Personenmitfahrt sieht.

Here the customer claimed to use a mesh shirt or a chain curtain. This ensures that no person or goods get under the lifting table and are injured or damaged.

In addition to the grid shirt, the safety bar required by the standard is of course installed.
This is allowed according to the standard must be mounted a maximum of 8 mm inwards from the outermost edge. As soon as the bar feels resistance when lowering, the lifting table stops. Only after a short lift can you go further down again.

The gate on the platform cannot be opened in this lifting position because the positive contact is closed.

An der oberen Haltestelle, kann der Mitarbeiter die Palette oder den Rollwagen über die schmale Seite auf den Hubtisch schieben. Danach stellt er sich auf den Hubtisch und kann mittels dem Bedienelement auf der Plattform den Hubtisch im Totmann-Betrieb absenken.

A galvanized tear plate was mounted on the platform.This ensures appropriate anti-slip protection and protects the lifting table from moisture.

The two railings on the long sides of the scissor lift table are permanently mounted.The gate at the rear is equipped with a forced contact and cannot be opened during the lift or in the top position.

The chain can be easily unhooked using the carabiner for loading.

Das Portal ist auf der Hubtischplattform aufgebaut und dient als Absturzsicherung von der oberen Haltestelle, wenn der lifting table sich unten befindet.

The portal then serves as a railing at the upper stop and is required by the standard for a level difference of 500mm.It is permitted up to a height of 1600 mm.

The red and white chain is not necessary according to the standard, but the labor inspector wanted an additional safety device for people who want to climb down by crawling. Installing a chain is often quicker than a long discussion with the authorities 🙂
