Lifting table for goods transport on 3 floors
A German car service company from Bavaria was looking for a lift to transport cars and goods from the basement to the ground floor, but also to the top floor.
The challenge was that there was a pitched roof on the top floor, which meant that a classic goods lift could not be realised.
We drew up several proposals and draft plans and worked out the ideal solution for the customer.
A hydraulic scissor lift table with a load capacity of 3000 kg, a platform measuring 6000 x 3000 mm and a working stroke of 7620 mm.
After placing the order, we have Shaft plan created in detail. This includes not only the shaft dimensions, but also all the necessary empty conduits, electrical installations, lighting from the control unit location to the load specification for the structural engineer.
As soon as the shaft was finished, we checked the natural dimensions on site and started production.
We often supply the doors at the same time. In this project, the customer provided them according to our specifications. As a result, we had to travel to Bavaria again after the door installation for commissioning, training and handover.
For aftercare, we have concluded a lift table maintenance contract with the customer to maximise the service life of the system and avoid operational downtime.
Project details of the lift table for 3 floors
Assembly of the base frame and scissors
For this project, it was necessary to lift the lift table into the lift shaft in several parts. Despite the special crane, the door opening was too low to lift the lift table, which was fully assembled in the factory, in one piece.
The picture shows the base frame and the scissors of the hydraulic lifting table. This is placed in the pit with the crane and immediately measured and precisely aligned.
This is necessary to ensure that the lift table lifts up correctly and does not rub against the wall. This is where we and our customers benefit from the experience of our long-standing employees.
The base frame is only dowelled in place once the test operation has been carried out so that adjustments can still be made in an emergency.
Installing the extra-large platform from the lift table using the special crane
Once the scissor lift and base frame have been installed in the manhole, the next step is to position the platform. This is then bolted to the scissors and all cables and hoses are connected.
Due to the large platform of 7000 x 3000 mm, we had to transport it to the customer using special transport. We have been working with our regular haulage company for many years.
View of the platform from the cellar towards the ground floor / courtyard level
At the lowest level, in the basement, the lift table is flush with the floor. The pit was built to our specifications for this purpose.
A roller shutter door was installed in the basement, which only opens when the lift table is in this position.
Two roller shutters were installed on the ground floor. This means that when the lift table is on this level, cars and goods can be driven into the hall from outside.
The two doors on the ground floor open independently of each other, depending on which floor is being loaded.
On the side of the shaft you can see the guide rails, which we always supply with such systems. These ensure that the car lift table is lifted evenly.
Stop in the attic - challenge mastered
As you can see from the picture, the top floor has a sloping roof and therefore a reduced room height.
To prevent the goods from colliding with the roof, the entire roof area is monitored by a light grid. As soon as an obstacle is detected, the system stops.
A revolving door has been installed in the upper stop, which can also only be opened when the load lift table is in this position.
