9 galvanized double scissor lifts
A German mechanical engineering company, which focuses on the development and manufacture of highly specialized equipment for the food and beverage industry, has sent us an inquiry about the supply of 9 scissor lifts At first glance, this request did not seem unusual, as scissor lifts are part of our proven product range. However, the conditions under which the delivery was to take place presented us with particular challenges.
Firstly, the entire delivery had to be completed within an extremely tight timeframe of just 7 working weeks. Normally, the manufacture of such custom-made lifting tables requires a longer production time, as every step - from material procurement to production and quality control - is carefully planned and carried out. This tight schedule therefore required precise coordination of processes and the full commitment of our team to meet the deadlines.
In addition, the customer required that the 9 lifting tables be fully galvanized to protect them from corrosion and thus meet the high hygiene standards of the food industry. The galvanizing process is technically demanding as it must ensure that all surfaces are evenly coated to ensure a long service life and high resistance. This also had to be implemented within a tight time frame without compromising on quality.
Despite the time and technical challenges, we decided to take on this demanding task. Through careful planning, optimized production processes and the dedicated efforts of our employees, we were able to meet all of the customer's requirements. In the end, we managed to deliver the 9 scissor lifts on time and in the best quality. In doing so, we not only proved that we can perform well under time pressure, but also that we do not compromise on quality even when faced with complex requirements and special specifications.
We are proud of this achievement and see the successful implementation of this project as confirmation of our competence and reliability. This not only strengthens the relationship with our customer, but also shows that we are well prepared for future challenges.
Details of the galvanized scissor lift tables
Prepared scissors for assembly
First we manufactured the base frame, the scissors and the platforms and sent them for galvanizing. After returning, we prepared them for assembly in production.
The galvanizing is carried out by a partner near the production facility. The spatial proximity saves time, transport costs and simplifies quality control directly on site.
Installation of the scissor packages including cylinders on the base frame
Due to the large number of scissor lifts with double scissors that had to be manufactured at the same time, we built several lifts step by step at the same time. This meant that an employee was often assigned to the same work step and could therefore complete his work much more quickly.
Base frame erected, scissor packages added and secured with the crane, motor and cylinder installed and connected.
The final step is to set up the galvanized lifting table platform, install the safety bar and wire the system.
Galvanized lifting table with platform made of smooth sheet metal
All 9 scissor lifts were completely galvanized. We made the cover plate of the lifting table platform from smooth sheet metal. Alternatively, this can also be made from teardrop sheet metal.
In the picture in “red” you can see the all-round safety bar. This ensures that the lifting table stops when lowering if there is an obstacle in the lifting area, i.e. under the platform.
Securing one side with a PVC roller blind
In the production line, the employee stands directly in front of the lifting table, the pallet goods are on the lifting table, so the view to the opposite side is limited.
Despite the built-in safety strip, the customer requested and received additional security with a self-rolling PVC roller blind.
The PVC roller blind is mounted on a roller under the platform, the opposite end is screwed to the base frame. With each lift, the roller blind rolls up or down automatically.
The roller blind can also be supplied in other colours, but grey is the option here due to the galvanisation of the lifting tables.
