Loading lift table driven over by truck
A German industrial customer had been looking for a scissor lift table for some time that could be placed directly in front of the hall entrance. However, due to the railings required by the standard, this could not be realized because the area could no longer be used and the entrance would be blocked.
Here we presented our solution with plug-in railings in the platform. Before each lift, the railings must be inserted into the platform of the loading lifting table on one short and both long sides. The side facing the truck can remain open. These railings allow the lifting table to be loaded and unloaded safely. Lifting without these railings is not permitted.
When the loading lifting table is not needed, the railings are removed and the lifting table remains sunk into the pit. We have reinforced the platform and installed solid mounting bolts so that trucks or heavy forklifts can drive over the lifting table. These bolts ensure that the platform rests mechanically and the scissors and hydraulics are completely relieved of stress.
To make it easier to move goods from the loading platform to the truck or vice versa, we have supplied a manual loading flap. This is tilted from the loading platform into the truck to compensate for gaps or tilts.
Because the platform is used for operation, a bellows is required as underrun protection, as the danger area under the platform cannot be seen. The bellows also protect the lifting table's mechanics from wind and weather.
Details of the loading lifting table with high wheel load
Prepared concrete pit for the loading platform
When placing an order, we create a pit plan for the loading lift table so that the customer can prepare the concrete pit accordingly in advance. The pit plan contains all the necessary information about the required dimensions and specifications for the pit.
The customer must check the actual dimensions of the pit themselves to ensure that all information has been implemented correctly and then report the results to us. This will allow any adjustments to be made early on to ensure the project runs smoothly.
lifting table sunk into the ground
The robust loading lifting table is completely sunk into the ground and blends seamlessly into the surroundings. When it is not needed, the area above it remains freely usable, allowing flexible use of the space.
Thanks to the particularly stable construction of the platform, even heavy vehicles such as forklifts and trucks can drive over it without any problems. The construction is designed to safely carry high wheel loads, so that there is no risk of damage even with intensive use. The lifting table therefore not only offers functionality when loading, but also maximum flexibility in the work area.
Motor and control hidden under the platform
The motor and control of the lifting table are integrated under the platform because the customer did not have space available in the building. To better protect them from water, the components were mounted on the scissors of the lifting table. This elevated position ensures that they are better protected in the event of any water exposure, ensuring reliable and long-lasting operation.
loading lifting table with plug-in railings
Before the loading lifting table is raised, the railings must be properly inserted (the customer didn't pay attention to this in the picture). This is to prevent the risk of falling from the platform when loading and unloading the trucks and thus to ensure the safety of the employees.
Without the railings properly installed, there is an increased risk that people or materials could fall from the elevated platform. Therefore, it is important to carefully perform this safety measure before each lifting operation.
