Lifting table for cable car mountain station: XXL scissor lift table in use
Hydraulic scissor lift table for a cable car with a view of the valley.
2 lifting tables, each with a load capacity of 10,000 kg.
Position loads centimeter by centimeter.
Commissioning, training and handover.
Part 1 of the project presentation can be found in the report Lifting table cable car valley station.
Brief summary of the first part: The lifting table is used to position special loads under the cabin so they can be transported. This requires the expertise of technicians who use large lifting tables under the cabins to raise the heavy loads and attach them precisely. First, the lifting table is lowered to ground level so the load can be slid underneath. Then, the table raises the load centimeter by centimeter until it is securely attached to the cabin. At the destination, the process is reversed: The load is carefully lowered again using the lifting table and detached – a process that masterfully combines technology and precision.
At the mountain station, the situation was further complicated by the fact that the enormous lifting platform components first had to be transported to the summit via a temporary mountain road. Once there, they were unloaded with a construction crane and temporarily stored. The weather was problematic. The assembly took place in January, and the sometimes heavy snowfall made the work even more difficult. Nevertheless, my technicians were thrilled to be able to participate in such a mega-project.
Project basis
The customer sent us their specifications document outlining the general requirements.

planning and tender basis of the project
The start of the project was identical to all other previous lifting table projects. The customer sent us his specifications with the rough requirements.
2 scissor lift tables, each with a load capacity of 10,000 kg and a platform size of 9 x 5 meters.
After initial telephone calls, we decided to offer, develop and implement this project.
The XXL lifting table was tested in the factory before delivery
As with every scissor lift table that is delivered, a comprehensive test was carried out in the factory.
Especially with special designs, it is important that all functions work perfectly. The lifting tables were completely assembled and tested. They were then dismantled into the 4 small basic elements and loaded onto the truck.
- ✓Process reliability: All functions are tested before delivery.
- ✓Transportable: Breakdown into basic elements for logistics.
Assembly, commissioning, training and handover of the lifting table for cable cars
First, the 4 individual lifting tables were lifted into the prepared excavation pit and connected to each other. The gaps in the picture were only closed after commissioning so that the technicians could still access all parts without hindrance.
A lifting railing was installed on the edge of the platform on the valley side, which is extended or retracted depending on the lifting position.
Solid swivel supports are installed under the platform. These mechanical supports ensure that the lifting table can be driven on stably in the upper position. The supports are raised and the platform rests on the supports. (see picture below)
Four scissors lift the platform synchronously upwards
Four scissor packs with their own cylinders were installed under the lifting table. The four platforms are bolted together, but would not lift at exactly the same time if the load was unevenly distributed.
For this reason, we have installed a hydraulic multiple flow divider. This ensures even lifting even when the individual platforms are subjected to unequal loads.
- ✓Synchronous: Uniform stroke despite uneven load.
- ✓Robust: Swivel supports for a stable upper position.

More Information
Brief overview: Key data & design
The most important points from the project description – compact for quick orientation:
- Project basis: A specification document with rough requirements serves as a starting point.
- Interpretation: 2 scissor lift tables, each with a load capacity of 10,000 kg and a platform size of 9 x 5 meters.
- Factory test: Fully assembled and tested; then disassembled into 4 basic elements and loaded.
- Assembly: Lift into the excavation, connect the elements; gaps only closed after commissioning.
- Safety/Handling: Lifting railings and massive swivel supports for a stable upper position.
- Lifting technology: 4 scissor sets with their own cylinders; multiple volume dividers for even lifting.
