We recently had a hydraulic column lift including shaft frame and monitored doors at the customer's premises. The challenge was that the column lift had to be installed in a very narrow stairwell. Despite these difficult conditions, we managed to make ideal use of the space and create a special construction that left the customer very satisfied.

For us as a company, it was important to design the column lift, including the shaft frame and monitored doors, in such a way that it met the specific requirements of our customer. The tight space and the stairwell presented a particular challenge, but one that we were happy to meet. We are proud that we were able to convince the customer with our special design.

The installation of the hydraulic column jack and the shaft frame was a challenge due to the limited space, but we successfully overcame it. We worked with precision and care to ensure a safe and reliable installation. The customer was very impressed with our professionalism and the commitment we put into the installation.
The special design allowed us to make optimal use of the space and thus create maximum space for the customer. The freight elevator in a confined space is an important part of the building and the customer was very satisfied with our work. Details of the small column jack

Lower stop of the hydraulic column jack

As with all lifting devices between two floors, the stops must be secured with monitored doors.

At the lower stop, we installed a revolving door closed with sheet steel. This was equipped with a positive contact (yellow-red part in the picture). This contact ensures that the door can only be opened when the platform is at the lower stop.
Likewise, the platform can only be lifted when this contact, i.e. the door, is properly closed.

The control system we supply monitors these contacts.

Securing the upper stop of the load lifter

As at the lower stop, we have also installed a monitored door at the top.

This door was designed as a lattice door with two wings, as there was more space available here than in the basement. The customer opens the door and places his goods on the platform. Then both wings must be closed so that the lifting system can be sent down.

Due to the limited space, we installed the control system at the upper stop directly on the shaft. We had to run the cables along the shaft, which was not very visually appealing, as no more empty pipes could be inserted.

Shaft frame or enclosure over the entire lifting range

For lifting systems, especially in areas accessible from the outside, it is particularly important to protect the entire lifting area.

There must be no place where you can reach into the inner area with your arm or hand. Ideally, the customer would create a concrete shaft, but here we had to resort to the narrower steel shaft due to the limited space available.

It doesn't matter whether the shaft is made of smooth steel sheet, trapezoidal sheet or with gratings. It's all about the customer's visual wishes.

In some projects, our customers also built very attractive wooden shafts and we were only allowed to supply the lifting system.
