Car lift table & car lift
Car lift tables, car lifts or car lifts (Carlift) are used, as the name suggests, to transport cars from one floor to the next. Depending on the application, we lift the vehicles with a scissor lift table or with a column lifter. Passenger transport is not provided for in the classic application and is only allowed with great effort.
The scissor lift table is usually more cost-effective, but requires a greater pit depth. If there is no pit, a column lifter is usually used. This works like a forklift with a mast. The mast or column is mounted laterally in the shaft and for this purpose the platform moves up or down with the car.
Assembly, commissioning and acceptance of the car lift table
At first glance, car lift tables look like a classic scissor lift table, but the devil is in the details. Due to the rolling load, the lifting table must be made much more stable than a lifting table with an evenly distributed load. Likewise, the orientation of the fixed bearing side in the shaft must be taken into account.
The control of car lift tables must be specially adapted to the application and built in accordance with the elevator standard EN81-31. A classic lift table control only has a standard button with UP-DOWN emergency stop, this is not sufficient here.
In addition, our lifting tables are equipped with a bolt lock, which fixes the platform in the upper stop by means of bolts in the shaft. This prevents a sinking when driving and protects the person in the car.
Elevator doors with appropriate locking must be installed at the stops. The gates only open when the platform is in the appropriate position. The gates can be designed not only as revolving doors but also as sectional doors or roller shutters.
The installation and commissioning should be carried out by a specialist company, as this is special elevator technology and the installation is not self-explanatory. In addition, after successful commissioning, an acceptance must also be carried out by a civil engineer.
Car lift tables from the professional
Car scissor lift table in the shaft
Car lifting tables are most often used in a driving shaft. The shaft can be made of concrete, wood or, as in the example photo, of steel profiles with glass elements.
Car lift table with canopy
A car lift table with a canopy is nothing more than a lifting table with columns on the platform on which a roof is then mounted.
The advantage of such a car lifter is that when you reach the lowest position, you can no longer see that a system is installed here. The car stage is then “hidden” in the ground.
Car lift outside the building without shaft
If no shaft can be built or wants to be built, then the car lift tables can also be equipped with appropriate railings and gates.
In this example, operation is only allowed from below, so that you can see the danger area under the stage. The upper stop was secured with a gate.
Column lifters as vehicle lifts
Following the assembly of the carlift, we always have an acceptance by a civil engineer. This checks the system and the assembly and issues a test book.
